Q. How does this work?
A: You simply add one line of cut-and-paste code to your website or blog, and we take care of everything else. The visitor clicks the link that will appear on your page, and they will be taken to a page with what you see below where they can tag and bookmark your page on any of the major social bookmarking and tagging services of which they are a member, all from one convenient location. Even a novice should be able to add the code with no help.
Pretty cool, huh? Your visitors will actually do your website or blog promotion for you, and you can sit back and watch your hit counter skyrocket!
Q: Do I need to edit any code?
A. Just add the cut and paste code to your site template/layout and you're done. In some cases (WordPress plugin, for example), you need to activate the plugin as usual, and then add one different line of code to (demonstrated in the readme with that download) your blog's theme. It's still SUPER easy, trust me.
Q: Is this service safe to use on my site?
A. Absolutely. We don't mess with your site in any way, or track any visitor information. We simply read the information on the page (Title tag, Keywords tag, etc.) and use this to make "one-click simple" buttons for your users.
But don't take our word for it... Think about this: We promote social bookmarking services like digg.com, which is a "techie" site. As such, TagBlitz.com (actually, "any" free service that's been around for more than 10 seconds) has had its code scrutinized by the geek community. If there was anything shady in the code, it would have been slammed on geek blogs all over the web by now.
Q: You say this is free... What's the catch?
A. No catch. This service is 100% free, and we don't have any plans on changing that. No catch, seriously.
Q. No, really... What's the catch?
A. Well, you do need to have some sort of worthwhile content on your website or blog that people will actually want to share with others. We can't make anybody share your site with others, which is why social bookmarking and tagging is so popular. You see, since you can't force people to tag a site, you know that anything they took the time to tag was actually of interest to them. In short, people trust the opinions of other readers more than they'll trust a rehearsed advertisement about how good your website or blog is. Of course you're going to give your own website a good spin... But your visitors will only tag something that they genuinely thought was worth their time to share.
Q. Will TagBlitz code make my page look bad or bloated?
A. Nope. It's just one line of code that produces one simple link. Choose from text or graphic versions, as shown below.

Q. Will TagBlitz work for my visitors who use FireFox?
A. It sure will. There may be minor differences in how the TagBlitz page appears to the user, but all of the buttons and links will work in any browser. The only thing that will not work for FF users is the "Advanced" button, used for posting directly to your Myspace blog. However, they can simply send it in Simple mode and use the "Edit" button that will appear on Myspace's "Are you sure you want to post this?" page. This is due to how FF handles certain page elements, and is FF's fault, not ours. However, we're developing a workaround (ie - browser sniffer that gives FF users a FF-friendly version), and should have it working shortly.
Q. What about future versions? Will I ever need to change my code?
A. Nope. Once you have the code in place on your page, you'll never have to change it. If we update the code to add more features or social bookmarking sites, they will automatically update and work for your visitors. To quote Ron Popiel (gadget inventor), this service is as simple as "Set it and forget it."
